The abacus was invented as early as 1220 AD in China to help people with large number calculation, and was known by various names like SUANPAN, SOROBAN OR ZHUSUAN and later on modernised by the Japanese.
The abacus with its beads strung on parallel wires led the Arabs to positional numeration and the concept of zero many centuries before the rest of the world.
Abacus programme is to create awareness of numbers and instill the love for maths among kids.
By visualising the tool kids can significantly improve their concentration skills and expand their memory.
